This Friday: Release Into Lyrical
My turn to teach the 3rd Friday class in Bethesda, MD, 8.00 – 10.00 at Carderock.
The 5Rhythms® of Flowing, Staccato, Chaos, Lyrical, and Stillness form ‘The Wave’, a simple movement meditation practice that encourages us to find our own dance of embodied feeling and to discover ourselves at our most fluid and creative level. Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking, rock star part of ourselves that yearns to be free.

I’ve added a new page about this, under ‘Words’.

5Rhythms UNCHAINED – Amnesty International Benefit
The first of this year’s 5th Friday Specials at Bethesda will be a Benefit. All proceeds after expenses will be donated to Amnesty International, the worldwide grassroots movement of people campaigning to protect human rights.
Jan 30th 2015, 8.00 – 10.00 pm (More about Amnesty International below)
All over the world people are imprisoned for choosing authenticity.
Let us not squander our freedom or take it for granted. Instead, let us dance together deeper into our authenticity and contribute our little piece towards the freedom of others.
Wherever the 5Rhythms are practiced, a community is born to dance, to sweat, to change, to support, and to provide a safe space for each of us to shatter the ego’s hold and awaken the juicy, unpredictable, fascinating, edge-walking part of ourselves that yearns to be free.

See Bethesda Classes for all details, but do Feel free to give more: it will go to Amnesty, not to us!
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL’s VISION
“We have a vision of a world in which every person enjoys all of the rights stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights standards.
When those human rights are violated, we:
Search out the facts,
Expose what is happening,
Mobilize people to put pressure on governments and others to stop the violations.
Around the world we protect people and communities who come under attack, encourage governments and others to respect human rights and raise awareness of the international standards that protect us all.”
